How Does this Blend Work?

  • Sugar - Sugar causes mechanical exfoliation with its granules physically scrubbing away dead skin cells. Sugar does not chemically 'melt' the dead skin cells, but its fine granules act as tiny abrasives sloughing away dead skin cells to remove the outer layer of the skin, revealing a fresh, glowing skin underneath. It's fine granules are not harsh on the skin and provide just the right amount of exfoliation.
  • Lemon – Lemon causes chemical exfoliation with its citric acid content, a type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). Rich in vitamin C and citric acid, lemon brightens the skin, evens out skin tone, and gently helps to reduce pigmentation. The natural AHAs in lemon softly loosen the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, allowing them to be lifted away with gentle massage. Citric acid also has antioxidant and brightening effects, helping even skin tone and enhance radiance instantly.
  • Madyati Kaya Tailam: Deeply moisturizing and antioxidant-rich, it nourishes the skin, improving elasticity and leaving a soft, supple feel.

Sugar and lemon perform a beautiful exfoliation synergy with sugar working on mechanical scrubbing on the skin, and citric acid from lemon chemically weakening the bonds holding dead cells. Together, they exfoliate efficiently without harsh irritation. Madyati Kaya Tailam in this blend provides deep nourishment as the skin sheds its dead layer and pores become receptive to absorbing nourishment from the oil that immediately softens the skin. This DIY exfoliator instantly creates smoother, brighter and more luminous skin, ready to absorb nourishing oils.

Beauty Benefits of this DIY Exfoliator
