Dinacharya • Ritucharya • Moon Cycles
In Ayurveda, Charyā means living in rhythm with the day, with the seasons, and with the moon. It is the art of aligning your body’s inner clock with the cosmic clock. When life flows in harmony with nature’s cycles, prāṇa moves freely, agni remains steady, hormones balance, stress softens, and your skin glows from the inside out.
Charyā in Ayurveda is the foundation of beauty itself.
Dinacharya (दिनचर्या) is the daily rhythm explained in Ayurveda. Ayurveda teaches that the human body runs on a 24-hour rhythm governed by the three doshas. Each time window supports certain physiological functions, and ignoring these cycles leads to imbalances that show up first on the skin. Dinacharya in Ayurveda directly equates to daily beauty discipline.
Ritucharya (ऋतुचर्या) is the seasonal beauty intelligence adopted according to the changing rhythms in in nature. Ayurveda teaches that each season elevates a specific dosha, which directly affects skin health.
Moon Cycles truly lead to the feminine beauty flow. Moon energy rules the water, emotions, hormones and the skin. Just like tides rise and fall, women’s bodies shift with the lunar cycle. The moon governs ojas (the radiance factor), emotional flow and water retention, which are all essential to beauty. During New Moon, the skin may look dull and needs exfoliation, internal cleansing and gentle fasting. In Waxing Moon phase skin benefits with hydration practices. During the Full Moon phase, skin is more sensitive and prone to breakouts and puffiness. In this phase cooling rituals must be practiced. The Waning Moon phase asks for simplifying skincare and focusing on lymph detox.
